Raymond was a well loved brother by his two brothers Richard and Roy and two sisters Rosemary and Margaret. He was a gentle man who was good at listening and rarely passed judgement on others. He was well liked by those who lived around him but unfortunately had suffered with his health for many years. Laterly he was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis and found it difficult to get about without his scooter. He died aged 63 during the very cold, snowy spell in December 2010 whilst trying to walk to the shop for milk as the weather was too bad to use his scooter.
